Since USA Domains was founded, much has changed within the company and the Internet landscape;
However, our mission remains the same -- to provide the highest quality web hosting services
for our customers with an emphasis on customer support.
The vision for USA Domains was born in the summer of 1997 between Thomas Mon, Kevin Kwasnik and
Cynthia Kwasnik. The current CEO, Kevin Kwasnik, saw a niche that needed to be filled: a company that focused
exclusively on easy-to-use, high-quality, yet affordable Web hosting. In a small 500 square foot
office, 2 personal computers, one employee, a leased server and $40,000 in family funded start-up capital,
USA Domains was born, and opened it's online presense on July 25, 1998.
That first year was an exciting time for the founders. All aspects of the company were being developed from scratch,
company operations and procedures were being designed, and hundreds of programming hours
were put into developing a web site control panel system, now dubbed Client Control Panel 4.0. The hard
work paid off, and our growing customer base surpassed our most optimistic 1st year projections.
By its third year in operation, USA Domains had outgrown it's humble small office, and opened it's
first corporate office in June 2002. Leased servers were dropped for company owned equipment, and
rack space was acquired at a datacenter facility in Virgina to handle even faster customer growth.
By spring of 2003, USA Domains had once again outgrown it's data center space and completed it's
second move to a much larger and more scalable datacenter -- Equinix,
which provided us the Tier 1
infrastructure needed for future growth and to remain competitive in today's tough e-business environment.
In addtion to infrastucture improvements, USA Domains expanded its scope to handle a variety of
secondary services related to Web hosting. Domain Registration, SSL Secure Certificates,
Email Defense services, and a Nationwide Dial-up access network was deployed providing internet
access in over 48,000 cities in the U.S and Canada.
While many things have changed over the years, our vision remains focused, and USA Domains
is as committed to offering the highest-quality Web hosting services -- as it did from the
first day the company opened it's doors in a small office in Hickory, NC.
We realize that much of our success is due to our customers, and with that recognition,
